Makes sense on the smoke. Years back some would talk about getting it on the highway and just blowing it out! Done that many times!

I called them and the t belt was changed at 133k. I have a good tech locally that I will get to check the adjustments.

Side note on importspecialty. We have a very similar shop in Birmingham (Franklin Automotive) not too far from me, but they have moved from being all Volvo years back to working more on Lexus, Infinity etc. Last time I carried my Volvo 240 to them for a check engine light, they had me there well over an hour, came back with ”we can't find the problem" and commented that it had a very low idle ...left it at that. Made no recommendations ...nothing! At least there was no charge.
I figured out the check engine light myself with Brickboards help.
