B18 Timing gear replacement 120-130

B18 Timing gears. Can I get a confirmation, or not, that the timing marks on the main gear and the crank gear only line up when the engine is at TDC on cylinder #4? I've read that if TDC on the is set on #1 then the mark on the fibre gear is 180ยบ out, and on the opposite side to the crank gear mark.
Quick reply needed, I don't want my garage to be too confused, it's probably the first engine of this type that they've tackled!
