240 no start problem 1989

Hi there, I have an 89 240 sedan and recently i have been having some no start problems. A few weeks ago i was sitting at a red light and it stalls on me i got out of traffic and in the shade it was a really hot day and waited for a tow and after maybe 45 minutes i tried to get it started again and it started up, the other times i tried it while waiting all the lights and everything came on but engine wouldn't catch. So i went home and a couple weeks later after out and about, everything running fine i get home and park it, go back out maybe 30 min later and no start at all. Ever since it hasn't been able to start, same deal all lights come on just cant quite start. A fellow volvo friend of mine who has a 90 240 has been helping me trouble shoot and we did some tests assuming and hoping it's a fairly common problem.

So we checked the fuel pump relay, i put in a new one, we checked the ecu, the crank sensor, all the fuses on drivers side, the air mass meter, the ignition coil, the blade type fuse under hood, and we checked the trouble codes which read fine, i also just got a new battery. We cleaned and switched out whatever we could with his working parts to determine. May have overlooked something.

Any ideas? some suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.
