Mystery Relay - 1982 242 DL 2.1L

In the process of an engine swap from a 5.0L V8 that's been in the car for 20 years to a new LS3. I'm also cleaning up a rat's nest of wiring from changes over the decades. ID'd a wire (blue) that was unused since '96 when the 5.0L went in. It was in the gray 8 prong (4x2) connector but not connected to anything. When I put 9V+ on it to try and trace it I heard this relay click - probably for the first time in 20 years. Since it wasn't capable of being energized, it hasn't been doing anything for 20 years. But I'd like to confirm function before I start removing it and related wiring harness. Link (well, cut and paste....sorry) to a picture of the relay below. Thanks in advance - Michael
