'86 240 Front end vibration 200 1986

'86 240 - Bad steering rack?
I'm getting a bad vibration in the front end, I don't feel it in the steering wheel.
It started just on sweeping curves at 45+ mph. It could be felt on the right side only.
Installed new ball joints and rod ends, now the shaking is on both sides at about 40 mph.
Checked the front bearings, engine mounts, drive shaft support and U joints, steering rack attachments and the steering shaft U joint. The struts are older but seem to be OK.
It could be just an alignment issue, but I don't want to have it aligned and then find it needs more parts and another alignment.
Any advice? Further things to check?
Or should I just go ahead and install a rebuilt rack?
Thanks in advance,
TR
