George was a class act. I live in Tulsa for quite a while and knew him a little. When a vintage racer was looking for B20 with the FI head, took one call to him and I had like four options including one from his stash.

He loved to play the Stand Up base
Spent a lot of time in Panama (long story that involves of Corps of Engineers)
He never had a harsh word for anyone

George will be missed for all fans of the pushrod Volvo's as his depth and breadth of knowledge was vast and all expressed with common sense and not jargon and BS.
