cleaning advice on factory molded carpets

I too have changed interiors from one car to another and have found the easiest and best way so far to clean carpet is by using a power washer on it, providing the carpet is in sound shape to start with. I have done this on 240 carpet as it is similar to indoor/outdoor carpet in that it can get wet and dry without losing shape or smelling bad. After i pwer wash the carpet--i hang over the fence here till dry. If you have an area really stained--you may want to work that first with a carpet cleaner of some type beforehand. The power washer really cleans them weel and gets all the dirt out of them without hurting the carpet--good luck--takes a good full day to dry thouroughly
