Heretical suggestion? 200

Thanks for the suggestion Andrew in AL -- but the "sprung" has nothing to do with lubrication now. The hood came off a car that did have a lube problem and the owner had me install a hood and hinge of the same color but from an earlier model (I explained the older hood would not line up with the cowl--but he just didn't want the hood with a bend). This '90 had light front end damage - a high hit which severely bent its hood (and unfortunately broke all the mounts of brand new headlight assemblies). I used the radiator support and headlights from a blue '89 and the previously discarded white hood--took a lot of careful massaging and some judicious use of shims on the hinge--this is truly the best I could do---and it opens and closes beautifully.
Thanks "Kitty" for putting the ad up - maybe a BB'er will be interested but my purpose of mentioning the hubcaps was to offer an alternative to those easily lost plastic Volvo caps.
I did learn a lesson though -- went to Craigslist to check on the ad and found entering Volvo 240 did not bring it up -- came up only with Volvo entered - along with a zillion fwd Volvos. I had to fine tune the title to get it to be included in a 240 search.
Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th--leave the fireworks to the pros. -- Dave
