Yup, you need to replace that set of slip rings. First you need to carefully unsolder the wires from the rotor coil, because you can't make them any longer, only shorter.

Then with the wires free, you pull the slip ring set just like you pulled the bearing and press on a new set, soldering the wires into the slots provided. Make sure the solder is trimmed and sanded smooth.
