hi sages- been cataloging items for a best seller or serialized magazine article called the history of auto repair scams, fast ones and dirty tricks. it will be an eye opener. since all experienced shade tree mechanics have some experience with this kind of shyster. here is my list of ones i have actually seen: 1. you need a new vapor lock, 2. youre out of blinker fluid,3. you need new muffler bearings,4. car needs an annual flush of radiator, brake system ,power steering pump, and fuel injector lines. 5. tires need nitrogen replacement. 6. vehicle needs new front shocks(said usually after a $19.95 oil change) and were running a special today. sure i have missed a few. let me know . thanks tons oldduke
