Center console support bracket 200

I was at the pick a part today and saw in a 1991 245SE one of the always-broken center consoles between the seat belts with a support bracket for the top that I'd never seen before. Underneath the console, around the ashtray, there is a wide black steel support approximately the shape of an elongated hexagon that bolts to the floor with the parking brake cable guide. The top of the console was secured to this bracket with four t25 machine screws. It looks like this was factory and seems to have worked well as the console was in good shape (albeit filthy.) I bought it and can take pictures later. Anyone seen one of these before?
