Can You Rebuild a Headlight Switch for a 1994 945? 900 1994

I think my headlight switch is bad and I wonder if anyone has advice on:

how it works, that is, what pins are energized at each position

how to rebuild it

I have searched for the part online, but it appears to be unavailable from either Volvo or other sellers. The part number I had was 1362699.

The problem I'm having is that the instrument panel warning lights and the gauges stop working when the headlights are on. They work when the headlight switch is "off" and when it is in the "parking light" setting.

I am checking the grounds to the instrument panel . . . but I'd also like to check on the switch.

Any help or suggestions would be great!

Thanks,

Paul
