Idle test point purpose 200 1983

Hi Art and thanks. I am pretty sure the Problem Solver is not the problem and I am here. The book says pretty much what you are saying. Grounding the test point disables the running of the constant idle valve/motor thing. This allows you to set "base" idle using the thumbscrew. When you then un-ground the test point the idle may rise a bit before settling down.

Sorry for my confusion and bad book reporting.
