Idle test point purpose 200 1983

Hmmm. The phrase "disables the running of the constant idle valve/motor" is exactly what I suspected. The grounding of the wire does not disable the running of the idle valve, but merely disconnects the feedback loop, setting a constant and known duty cycle around which the loop can vary the idle after adjusting the rpm. No doubt this phrase is what makes us think the ground shuts off the idle motor. Very misleading in my opinion. Not fair to you.
