245 ABS issues 200 1993

I want to disable the ABS temporarily on my 93 245DL wagon. Can I just pull the 40A fuse next to the battery? Is that safe? All I want to do is use the car until I can get the time to trouble-shoot the ABS system.

For the past 2 weeks, my ABS system is acting up: seems that it is actuating inappropiately causing a mechanical scrapping noise and a steering wheel and brake pedal judder... happens at low speeds just as you start out, only after it has been parked for many hours or overnight... BUT not every morning. Just some mornings. It does not happen once everything is warmed up oddly enough. All the pads are over 90%, there are no fluid leaks anywhere, the rotors were replaced long before this problem arose.

Thanks for your advice!

W. Li
