HELP WITH ID OF PART IN TRUNK OF 940 WAGON? 900

Hi Everyone!

Hope I'm not wearing out my welcome with all of my questions!

I posted a picture in BrickPix Personal section (TITLE: 940 WAGON PART IN TRUNK ID). I'm trying to identify three things:

1. The black box on the left that has a white connector with several red wires coming out (any thoughts on where it should mount?)

2. The black motor thing with the golden canister on top of it (I connected two sets of green, red, and black wires together when trying to hook up my CD player, and it intermittently hums, which is maybe why it was disconnected, causing battery drain?)

3. The long clear tube to the right of the golden canister in the picture. It rests on the floor of that compartment and has no cap on the end. It just kind of hangs out in the middle of that floor with the open end up

The foam on the one side of the black box was a bit wet, and so were the wires, I'm gathering from the recent rain. But I'm concerned about the humming. It would start, then stop, mostly when I had the black box near it. I thought the black box mounted at the bottom of the silver metal tray, yet when it's mounted there, the humming is constant. The CD player still works even when the white connector is disconnected from the box.

Any thoughts?

As always, thanks for any insight!
