My wife's 940 is turbo. So this is regarding her car. Hope it helps.
A leak at the header connection should show white discoloration close to the connection.
The three bolts.. Two are easy to tighten, the third needs a curved wrench to make it easier. It can be done with regular tools... just more difficult.
No gasket here, but mine has to be tighened often enough to make me understand it has a tendency to loosen.
