Power steering fluid or ATF 200

Yes it is good to steer all the way from lock to lock.

I do the following and I pretend I remove all the old fluid with very little loss.

-I turn the steering totally to right lock

-I siphon out all I can that is in the pump, I disconnect the return line and connect a tube that goes to a waste gallon jug, I plug the pump return inlet, then fill with new fluid to the very top

-I have someone starting the engine and at the same time turning the steering wheel to the other lock as fast as the pump can supply and I yell to stop the engine if I find I cannot refill the pump as fast as I should.

- Two full strokes will remove all old fluid left in steering rack. Then reconnect the return hose, bring to level and you are good for an other 80k miles before repeat.

This makes your steering rack last much longer. Also do not forget to unclip and push the left bellow. Then grease the pinion and tooted bar.
