92 240 DOA 200 1992

My daughters 92 240 "El Verde" has died....
Two weeks prior to her demise i did a tune up, timing belt.oil seals, belts, plugs (including an over size insert in the #1 spark plug hole),Bougi Cord Wires....
I did a post mortem and she has 90lbs on #1, and a range up to #125 on number four
When an attempt is made to start the motor, it farts back through the intake.
I have a head from a 92 240 turbo and parts for a head swap, that never happened..
Verde had piston slap in #1 from the day we got her 4 years ago
We are going to put another motor in her, if that's what it takes, the car is clean roomy and had 180.000 miles on it...barely time to wear out the seats...
I was considering pulling the head,,,,just because
I have a video of her dying gasps if i can figure out how to post it..
Any thing i can do to check for signs of life,,,i'd rather do a head swap that a motor swap
