Bushings-tips 200 1988

Hi,

I would also second the poly bushings (blue/blue-green) made by URO. Shop around as prices differ-either way they're cheaper then OEM.

Some additional advice if you do those bushings-

Give yourself room to work. Remove the airbox assembly and associated hoses. The rear bushings on the PS pump/AC bracket are very difficult.

Have a pair of large Channel Lock pliers to remove/install bushings. You might even want to get a long bolt, nut and washers to make (if memory serves correctly) a "Swedish press."

Also, have on hand a washer or two that will fit the long bolt for the PS pump. I have done the job twice (90 244 & 92 245) and both times when I installed new bushings at the long bolt I always needed another washer to act as a spacer (against the present spacer) to take up the open space left by new bushings.

Hope that helps,

Travis

PS-did a quick check on bushings (I need to pick up some soon too). Prices seem to be all over the place-sometimes $6 a piece. It seems FCP has them the cheapest at $2.99 a piece.
