progressive coil springs 1800 1967

Hi All
i fitted some progressive coil springs (scandix i think ) to the front of my 1800s
the lighter part of the coil are compressed together and appears to be coil bound with the other end having lots of air space
the car sits nicely and steers well
anyone fitted these springs and had the same issue?
i am concerned that when i push the car through some twists and turns it may become coil bound and i will go straight ahead
i should mention that the rears are progressive as well

thanks in advance for your reply

David
