Cooling fan running while engine cold

In 1994 940 the radiator cooling fan is controlled by:

1. The ECU (only during engine running) for AC and engine cooling
2. The brown pressostat (doesn't need engine running, just using AC condenser pressure)
3. The grey pressostat (doesn't need engine running, just using AC condenser pressure)

If you could get to the fan relay - a black box about 1 x 2.5 inches size behind one of the headlights - pull out the middle electrical plug (the one with 2 small wires). If the fan stops running then there may be issue with any of the listed above. If the fan continues to run then there may be issue with the relay itself eg. welded internal relay contacts

Regards,
Amarin.
