Automatic trans oil overfill 200

My 'new' 240 certainly does have clean looking automatic transmission fluid, but someone seems to have overfilled it quite a bit. Cold, the oil reaches an inch above the maximum allowed on the 'hot' side of the dipstick scale.

I'm not sure if I should take action to correct this.
