S90 1998 Looking at one How are They S90-V90 1998

Timing belt replacement records should be available or you should do it immediately. Hoses will need replacement. Lots of electronic gizmos to break. Sunroof can leak. Abs controller can be flaky. @200k miles, AC clutch will probably need adjustment. Climate control system is flaky. Parking brake cable replacement is a major PITA. The usual brakes, shocks, struts. PCV system can lead to oil leaks. Valve cover is difficult to remove without special tools. Starter difficult to replace. Power seats can break. Transmission needs routine maintenance and gear selector can be problematic.

All parts are somewhat harder to find as the car is rare.

We've owned ours for 5 years. At 240k it's still a good car but it would have cost me a fortune if I wasn't a relatively skilled shade tree mechanic with a lot of tools. It's reliable if you keep up with it, but it can keep you busy. It's a great riding car, fun to drive.
