Electronic Ignition 1800

I installed an Allison opto-electric system (which may now be Crane) in my '72 in the mid-80's. It was still going strong four years ago when the guy I sold the car to exported it to Columbia. My current '70 has a Pertronix unit, which is easier to install than the Allison. It was the first thing i did when i got that car in 2001. Far as I'm concerned, it's a no-brainer to get rid of the points and condenser. While you're at it, get an MSD Blaster coil (and a ballast resistor) and re-gap your plugs to .050. Here's a schematic:
