Techron 200

When we got our first Volvo, I asked about using fuel injector cleaner, I was told that it was not needed.

After the dealer changed hands, my '90 744TI ran a bit rough - I was told to use some injector cleaner.

I asked friend of mine that was a salesman for the first Volvo dealer about the contradiction. He told me that the first dealer had excellent service ratings and got a year end bonus of $1000 for each of the 1100 cars they sold per year.

They could afford to spend several hundred dollars to keep a customer happy - they put injector cleaner in each car they serviced.

He told me that they had a 55 gallon jug of Techron.

The second dealer did not get excellent ratings and did not get the bonus - thus no free cleaner.

I usually put a dose in before I start a trip so that it runs through the engine at one time.

I moved back to dealer #1 as soon as I heard the story.
