blower fan stopped ,baby it's cold outside 200

as mention in my earlier post, blower stop working when its turned cold, very uncomfortable. have searched the archives and founded mention of a way to test blower motor and by pass resistor to see which may be bad. but am not sure which red wire. I am assuming the red wire that's connected to the speed switch, jump 12v to this one and see if blower start, does anyone know or has done it before. if blower starts resistor or switch bad. have also looked at art's website and have the same colored wiring as he shows in pictures for switch. merry xmas
