Replacement for cr-718 radio 900 1993

Hello all

I would like to replace the stock radio with another radio/casette player and contacted crutchfield for some help to no avail as they said they had sold their last cassette players earlier this year.

I suppose I could chase down used cr718's and hope the cassette player works as an alternative.Or I suppose I could take the one I have pull it apart and try to repair it.

Not wanting to reinvent the wheel here I wonder if anyone on the brickboard has a solution for me.
