Patching together a '93 245 200 1993

On the computer question, quite a few will work for troubleshooting purposes, e.g. a 556, 561, 933, and more, but the 951 would be the one you want in the car finally.

I can only guess on the transmission swap, not having done it, but yes I think it could work. You may not be happy with the rear axle ratio, and changing it isn't fun because you need the ABS-vintage speed sensor for idle speed control, speedometer, and brakes. I'm sure this thread will grow long with responses from those experienced in the auto to manual 240 swaps.
