12.12 v at both Batt and Alt at high idle 200 1989

12.12v is pretty well dead flat but if it's VERY cold there it will read a bit low. Not answered is whether there is any difference in readings at idle or engine off and running at 2k rpm. Could be that both your charger and alternator are both bad. Battery should get up to a steady 12.7-8v overnight with a decent charger. Needs to put out 4-5amps at least into a flat battery. A motorcycle one is unlikely to do that.
