Removing 1971 1800 Brake Booster 1800

I recently picked up a 1971 1800 with some long time brake repairs needed. I sourced 2 new reman front calipers - now find the booster is leaking. I have removed every bolt that holds it to the firewall, and its still hung up on something inside. The pin for the pedal was also removed, but something is still connected.

I noticed this has an almost turnbuckle looking connection where the booster rod connects to whatever is in the dash holding things up.

Is there a trick to getting this apart so I can remove the booster completely?

Thank you.
Jeff
