selling soon 200 1989

Unless something unexpected gets in the way, we will be finally selling our ‘89, 240DL wagon within the next 2- 3 weeks, if all goes well.. . Shopping for new car, to this date, looking at the Crosstrek 2017 Subaru, OR the 2017 Toyota RAV4. Already test drove the Subaru, seems ok. We will try the Toy soon.

I guess we will then put the Volvo in Craigslist, tho we have a couple people that are already looking at it. Price? I donno-maybe $125,000?? Nah! Don’t really know what we will ask for it. Surely no less than $2k, maybe as ”high” as $7k?? Donno.

The Volvo is in great shape but it has been a money pit. . Whoever gets it will get a nice well taken care of 245 wagon, but- IT IS OLD--approx 300k miles. (Like us). Long as the new owner keeps it up, change the oil regular, etc, should give good service for quite awhile yet, but, I repeat again, it is old!!

As far as a “new” 2017 vehicle, our hope is to get some years without becoming another money pit for a while. Ive been told we should not sell the Volvo and I see their point, but it’s time. I can't really work on cars anymore and don’t want to keep paying a mechanic to do it for us. A new car hopefully will avoid the constant repairs for a few years, we hope. Sure, it will cost us some maintenance, but hopefully not like the brick.. A good decision? Donno. Time will tell. 'tick-tock---'
