Fuel Pump 444-544

I done a lot of research on a quiet electric fuel pump and finally decided to go with a carter 4030 electric pump. After all the work was done to properly mount and plumb the thing, I had it off and returned to summit racing. The pump that was supposed to be quiet sounded like a chain saw. The wire connectors were probably made by Tonka Toy, and mounting isolators made no difference in sound. Maybe a Facet style fuel pump would be a little quieter but I think I would try to rebuild the original pump. Ebay around 43.00 bucks for a rebuild kit sold by duett is the way I would go if the pump is reparable. Hope this helps. Larry
