Volvo 240 SRS Test Procedure (and early 700-900 [to the FAQ?]?)

For 200 (and early 700-900) with SRS to check SRS ... if dash SRS light is on.

Procedure is for 240. Yet the long image at the end shows what to connect to get the SRS light flashing in the event you have an SRS light on.

Remove cover from SRS on 240 dash.

The metal spade terminal jack under the SRS label is the contact you use a wire to touch to ground.

Read instructions in panel 1 "Retrieving Codes" and see SRS light flashes by count.

Used to be on Bill's site here, now gone:

I had the image files for some years. In response to two threads in the current index, I could not find anything online. The FAQ does not contain this information, so maybe this can go into the 700-900-90 FAQ indicating model year range and model? That is, until the SRS was added to the OBD test boxes in the engine bay or as part of the OBD-II. I'm unsure.

Hope that helps.
