thanks for the warning this is rant 900 1993

hi arty b-youre welcome. always good to hear from you. you combine great knowledge and a great sense of humor- youre in my league. true while a bit of a rant, there is basic truth in it. many systems have been updated in cars since the so called good old days, but many are anomalous improvements which merely make it very difficult for ingenious backyard mechanics to repair without resorting to an overcharging clip joint. the speedometer is an example. can you tell me how it is an improvement over the cable one. i would like to see repairablility and resultant high repair costs factored into so called improvements in automobiles. at least id like to see this factored into test report articles in car mags. rarely have. told pop and moe this once and they told me to give up ,shut up and pay up.maybe they were talking about matrimony. and they were in the generation that stopped the axis! who is right? thanks tons oldduke
