Tips for old lenses - all models

A couple of tips for old plastic lenses -

1 - Do your old lenses have fine shallow cracks? - especially front turn signal lenses when they are in the sun.

Paint them with liquid glue, such as Testor's plastic glue (I actually suspect that it is acetone) This will seal many of the cracks as it melts the plastic.

DO NOT Play with the glue as it sets, just paint them with a nice wet once over and let the glue dry for several hours. Then touch up spots that did not seal

2 - Check the lenses to see if they glue that holds them to the reflector has come loose - repair as necessary.

It is not much fun to get out of your Brick after a trip on the highway and find that one of your lenses is gone!

Add your tips.
