M41 cry for help 120-130

Hello folks,

I just purchased a reconditioned M41 gearbox with zero miles on it from a supplier on the West Coast. My supplier is extremely reliable, scrupulously honest and I do a lot of business with him as I am restoring a very sad 123GT.

Said gearbox was sent to me in Philadelphia by UPS, and it has become lost. UPS are claiming that the package was empty/merchandise is missing. What is strange, is that it got from the West Coast just fine, to the UPS hub in New Stanton PA which is near Pittsburgh.

Personally, I dont believe that a large, cast iron, overdrive gearbox can just drop out of its package and become lost at a UPS depot. I thihk it has been stolen by someone looking to make a quick buck somewhere.

Has anyone out there on this forum seen an M41 advertised for sale in the recent days? I have looked on Ebay and Craigslist to no avail. I even wrote to the CEO of UPS. No one is helping and I can't get a straight answer out of UPS.

The gearbox was insured but money just does not cut it. I would have to find another M41, and go through the whole reconditioning exercise again.

Thanks to all for the help! It would be great if someone stumbles across it!

Regards

Andrew
