Friend's 1991 740 still acting up - thoughts needed 700 1991

I would start by testing the coil and ignition wires for electrical flow. I've had a car stall out when coming to a stop. It that case it was bad wires. If the wires aren't Bougicord I suggest them as they are OEM. They work best and last the longest. Since your friend sounds very knowledgeable, I'm assuming the dizzy cap and rotor are fine but I'd still look at them too.

Check condition of the CPS. Also check grounds and other electrical wires.

Although I think it is most likely electrical, I'd still check the fuel system. ECU, pump and check relay okay?
