Rear Passenger Door Dilemna - SOLVED 200 1993

Not sure if this has come up before, but wanted to share my solution to a stuck rear passenger door. Having kids under 6, we make use of the child locks on the 1993 244. Well guess what happened? The exterior door handle broke and with the child lock on we had no way to get the door open!

So I made note of where the child lock lever was on the other side, took a small straight pick tool and slid it between the door jam and weather seal as close to the child lock as I could get it on the stuck door. It took a couple tries but I released the lever and was then able to open the door from the inside.

Now on to replacing the handle. Anyone have tips for adjusting the door handles? For some reason they are all stiff and hard to open on the '93. I feel like the fit and finish of the '93 is lacking in comparison to my other model years. Were they just trying to get them out the door as quick as possible?
