Heat Control noise 900 1997

Hi there,

I've been living with this issue for 15 years and now I am determined to resolve it, if possible with your help

Essentially, when the heat control knob is turned to the min. it makes a tic tic noise, in order to get rid of it, I have to slightly increase it.

I remember at the beginning of 2000 a Volvo dealer told me that is was better to leave it as it is as it was not easy to resolve, but I do not remember the explanation they provided to me or perhaps they did not... honestly I do not know.

Anyhow, I just recorder this short video in order to let you hear what I mean (I do apologize for the video sponsor at beginning/end of the video, I used a freeware software).

The video is with engine off, key turned to II, if I leave it in that position (coldest) it stops the noise after approx. 15 secs.
The noise seems to come from the back of the central unit.

I really hope some of you can help me to figure this out.

Thank you!
Alex
