Good Place to get 240 A/C components 200

Hello all, so now both my 240's compressors have gone out. (1987 244/1991 245) The 87 244 was converted to 134, and the 91 245 still on R-12. Where is a good place to get compressors, and components? Also, very curious how to know what o-rings to get etc? I have rebuilt many engines etc, and done all my other mechanical work for years, However, have never fooled with A/C, except adding a can or two of 134. Every shop I have called wants 1k to 1.5k to fix my A/C (in each car) so that's nearly 3k ! can't afford that, so I would rather spend my money buying a flushing machine, gauges, vacuum pump etc. and figure it out myself. Or should I ??? Anyway, wondering how I'm supposed to figure out o-rings etc. do you just buy a giant kit, or go match them up? Thanks :)
