Tail Light Lens Stud Broke Off 200

Working on the wife's 1980. While trying to remove the driver side tail light assembly (and not torquing very hard), the lower right side bolt just broke off with the nut attached. Ordinarily, I would just put it back with the remaining 3 bolts and hope for the best. But this is the one used to secure the bulb assembly cover. Rats!

These are the fairly rare, 5 lens units so I don't want to go trying to find/buy one.

There is a bit of the stud sticking up out of the plastic. Is there some way to remove it and install a new one? Or drill it out and do something else? Or maybe just another way to secure the cover?

Thanks
