Car died 900

Driving the wifes 92 960 car to work today because she said it was acting up. Abs and srs light came on tacko and speedo was playing up not working, working some warning lights flicked on car then died. Click click is all i got when tried to restart flat battery. Got car towed home put in new battery and started straight up. Tacko and speedo wouldnt work and most of the little warning lights would not work. Do you think bad solder joints at back of instrument cluster.
If the little battery light does not come on when you start up does that mean the alternator wont charge and the car would only run off the battery.?
