Connecting Cat. Converter to Front Muffler 900 1996

Dear analogdad,

Hope you're well. I'll leverage AIW's suggestion. I'd use stainless steel bolts and nuts to secure the clamp. Standard steel bolts will soon rust to the point that they are "corrosion-bonded". Stainless bolts and nuts should last far longer.

It might be useful, if there's still an exhaust leak, to apply some muffler cement to the sealing surfaces, before you bolt-up. An example: https://www.amazon.com/Dynomax-35958-Hardware-Muffler-Cement/dp/B000CQHVLI .
