940 non turbo 900 1993

93 has only 1 arm hanging down from the shifter I took it out & was going to replace w 1 out of a 92 BUT that 1 has 2 arms.
So now I went to reuse my old 1 & can figure out how to adjust it. 1st when i put it back i ,,Straight up &locked it was starting in 1st.& was stuck i2nd ggear going for ward...then I adjust it w the bolt about 2/3 an inch back in the slot& it started it in park BUT i drove forward & it wouldnt go into the final gear,3 Rd? then overdrive?/
There is no info on this site or any other 1 I see to suggest where to set it.
