Over drive into 445--More mods needed? 444-544

The front half of the driveshaft will need to be shortened and the whole 2 piece driveshaft should be balanced afterwards. I strongly suggest you find a shop with the proper driveshaft balancing equipment.

Any M40/M41 shift cover can be bolted on, so the early M40/M41 shift covers with the long chrome handle will work. However, you may have to drill and tap your old cover if you want to install the overdrive lockout switch.

FYI, there are 2 sizes for the output flange for the "J" overdrives, so check and see if your driveshaft flange is the same size.
