Rear passenger side tail light Assembly not working 200 1990

I recently replaced the passenger side rear tail light assembly but it does not lit up when the car is running. The turn signal works, the reverse lights work when the car is in reverse, the brake light lit up when I press the brake pedal, but none of the light comes on when the car is running. What did I do wrong? I think I inserted the bulbs into the new assembly the way they were in the old one. I am not mechanically inclined so I have no idea why this is happening.
