Torque converter bolts BW 35 140-160 1975

1975 164 with BW 35 automatic transmission. I have the transmission out and am ready to reinstall. Bolts holding the drive plate (flywheel?) to the torque converter are not in good shape and would like to replace. Threads in torque converter are also a bit of a mess so would like to tap out. All indications are that the original bolts are 3/8 inch fine (25) thread. But this is pretty close in size to 10mm 1 thread, and one expects metric on a Volvo. But Borg Warner is American so maybe they used 3/8? Does anyone know what size bolts and threads were used? Or where I might find proper replacements?
