100A Denso 3544119 to Bosch ALt 900

Options and opinions for parts or a replacement.

I have two bad 100A Denso alternators. One in the car and one in the back seat, both with new brushes. Could not find a voltage regulator, not that is whats wrong with the alternator. One son, 940na, beat me to a spare Bosch off a turbo. It fit using a longer bolt from the turbo. Another son with a turbo bought an Advance Auto 13542A, $152 life time plus core, with find a your own Alt ground. Headed in that direction.

I took off the re-manufactured Bosch black plastic cover from Advance, well, it was a worn out junk yard part that worked. Slip ring and brushes worn.

My order is coming in Saturday, and so am I with tools to remove the cover. If it is that bad, I do not have to buy it.

Options and opinions for parts or a replacement?

Tom
