TXV replacement 200 1989

Hi Randy,

One frozen drop of water will block it.

To my way of thinking, the expansion valve (TXV) is easier to deal with than is the evaporator replacement. Volvo's retrofit kit includes both, however. The retrofit TXV is sized for the 134a.



However, the difficulty, in my view is dealing with the butyl rubber. Not as bad as a windshield replacement, but having to open the system, replace the receiver/dryer, and vacuum it again, combined with the body aches from working under the dash...
